Brantwick Community Choir has sixty-one members, forty-four of them sopranos and altos. Musical director Owen Tate would like to change that before the autumn concert.

‘We don’t audition and we don’t make anyone read music,’ he says. ‘If you sing in the car, you can sing with us.’ Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings at Chapel Street, 7:30pm to 9pm, and cost £4 a week with the first month free.

The autumn concert is on Sunday 18 October at 3pm. Tickets are £10, and under-16s go free.
